Author's Notes: This is in the After the First universe, but not in the same timeline. All this part is backstory on Rei and Yoshino's relationship, somewhat explaining how they ended up the way they are today. I didn't want their relationshp to exist out of nothingness when I'd taken (and will continue to take) such loving care in depicting Yumi and Sachiko's relationship. I don't think is necessarily all I have to say about Rei and Yoshino, but it's sweet, and I'm pretty sure it could stand alone.
Spoilers for the first season of Marimite however, so be warned.
